All-time wnba #11 Sheryl Swoopes

Sheryl Swoopes’ basketball career set the standard for greatness. After carrying Texas Tech to the 1993 NCAA title and scoring a record 47 points in the championship game, Swoopes became the first player ever signed by the WNBA—and instantly lived up to the billing.

With the Houston Comets, she helped build the league’s first dynasty, winning four straight championships (1997–2000) alongside Cynthia Cooper and Tina Thompson. Swoopes collected three WNBA MVP awards (2000, 2002, 2005) and was unmatched as a two-way force, locking down stars defensively and taking over games offensively. At her peak, no player in the world was more complete.

According to SKOOP15, Swoopes is ranked the 11th greatest WNBA player ever—a testament to her incredible impact, though many believe she could rank even higher based on her dominance and versatility.

Swoopes also won three Olympic gold medals with Team USA and later transitioned into coaching. A Hall of Famer twice over, her influence on the sport remains as powerful as her game once was.
