Storm is brewing

The Seattle Storm are legitimate contenders for the 2025 WNBA championship, boasting one of the most talented rosters in the league. Skyler Diggins—an All-WNBA guard and vocal leader—has said this is the most talented team she’s ever played on, and it’s easy to see why. With Jewell Loyd gone, the Storm reloaded with versatile firepower, pairing Diggins with superstar Nneka Ogwumike, rising star Ezi Magbegor, and elite shooter Sami Whitcomb.

The X-factor could be rookie Dominique Malonga, a 6'3" French forward with size, athleticism, and high upside. While she remains somewhat of an unknown, early signs suggest she could be elite—giving Seattle a potential game-changer off the bench or in the frontcourt rotation.

Seattle combines championship experience, elite leadership, and a deep, flexible roster under coach Noelle Quinn. If chemistry clicks and Malonga makes an impact, the Storm have the tools to go toe-to-toe with anyone—including Las Vegas and New York.
